Pressing Spirit is an expression of the love I have for my mother (Sandra Potts); she’s a stomach cancer survivor. Being an only child of a single parent, watching my mother going through cancer treatment, I often felt inadequate and lonely. We had conversations on how to bring care, love and comfort to patients and their families experiencing the same thing. My selfless mother came up with an idea of creating starter kits for patients that are going through their first or second round of chemo and radiation: A care package with sample products that she found was helpful. Her vision has become my mission. It’s my way to honor her by honoring cancer patients and their families with integrity and love. The mission statement for this community project is to provide love, hope, compassion, joy and comfort to patients and their families letting them know they are not alone on their journey.
